DESCRIPTION OF THE WORKSHOPS

During the workshops we will create a kinetic ornament together, called: ‘A good-omen spider’, inspired by the traditional ornamental craftsmanship. Every workshop participant will have a chance to prepare a separate element, or several elements of the ‘Spider’, which we will later assemble together. Our ‘Spider’ is a good omen for the future for every manifestation of life on Earth, and the multicoloured elements assembled together into one, common object are a symbolic gesture of arranging the surrounding chaos into one consistent whole. The workshops have artistic therapy character, thanks to which common manual work on creating an artistic object encourages openness and builds a sense of community within the group.

Works created during the workshops will be exhibited during the second week of International Theatre Festival Retroperspektywy 2023: GENERATIONS (25-27 August 2023).
