DESCRIPTION OF THE EXHIBITION

The exhibition will present works created during the intergenerational ecological workshops for children, youth and adults "Good-omen spider", lead by Paweł Błęcki, in terms of International Theatre Festival Retroperspektywy 2023: GENERATIONS, on August 22-24 2023.

During the workshops the participants will create a kinetic ornament together, called: ‘A good-omen spider’, inspired by the traditional ornamental craftsmanship. Every workshop participant will have a chance to prepare a separate element, or several elements of the ‘Spider’, which we will later assemble together.

The ‘Spider’ will be a good omen for the future for every manifestation of life on Earth, and the multicoloured elements assembled together into one, common object will be a symbolic gesture of arranging the surrounding chaos into one consistent whole. Common manual work on creating an artistic object encourages openness and builds a sense of community.
